Gas and air ducts are pipes and ducts of various sections (round or rectangular), inside which gas or air moves, pumped (moved) by draft machines (industrial fans). They are usually made from sheet steel. The main requirement for air and gas ducts is gas tightness. When designing, it is also necessary to avoid direct connection of rectangular and round ducts, due to aerodynamic pressure losses in such a connection. It is necessary to connect a circular duct with a rectangular one by means of an adapter.
